Calabra offers an amazing ambiance with rooftop views, full bar and a Mediterranean flair. Their menu spotlight quality-driven, seasonal, and organic ingredients. Setting is Elegant and vibrant making it perfect for casual get togethers, celebrations or a weekend brunch. The Crispy Latke and Chicken Souvlaki were delicious.

I stayed at the Proper Hotel in Santa Monica and woke up wanting to chill by the pool for a lazy day. So, I decided to have brunch at Calabra, and it was the perfect choice. The atmosphere is stylish and modern, with a laid-back vibe that made it ideal for a relaxing morning. I had the Salmon Bagel, which was delicious. The bagel was good, and the smoked salmon was flavorful, complemented perfectly by cream cheese, capers, and a touch of dill. It was a light yet satisfying dish, with great balance and texture. The service was attentive, and the rooftop setting offered beautiful views of the city, adding to the overall experience. If you're looking for a place to enjoy great food and a chill vibe in Santa Monica, The Calabra is definitely worth checking out.

All of the designs at Proper are absolutely gorgeous. From the moment you walk into the hotel and onto the rooftop, you know time and thought has been spent. We ordered so much food but the standouts were the Fattoush salad, the Chicken Souvlakia, and the fruit / desserts. The fruit was the perfect amount of sweet. Highly recommend stopping by to grab a drink or snack and to explore the hotel. Service was fantastic too - our waters were consistently refilled.

Celebrated my birthday and this was the perfect spot! The service was great, the food was delicious and beautifully crafted, and the drinks were yum. The vibes were immaculate - cozy heaters, rooftop garden aesthetic, intimate spaces all throughout and a lovely large bar in the center. Plus, a nice city view from the open bathroom area.

Calabra was a super fun experience with great service and amazing food. My favorite was the lamb sliders and the tamarind margarita ‍

We had a pleasant time with friends for breakfast! The restaurant is located at the roof top of the Proper Hotel. It is a beautiful hotel and beautiful restaurant! We each ordered the proper breakfast. The chef was very accommodating for those of us who wanted something different from kale for the veggie sides. Although those of us who ordered kale as a side didn't actually receive kale. Pretty sure they were collared greens. Also, my poached eggs were cooked completely when I expected them to be runny, so you will want to specify how runny you want your eggs. There were 7 of us and we met at 10am for breakfast on a Saturday. We made a reservation but there was no one there yet until around 11am for brunch so it was nice and quiet. The service was impeccable, and the wait staff were all very nice.

Went to Calabra for dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant is on the rooftop of proper hotel in Santa Monica. They have valet parking at the hotel. This is a solid place with solid food! The service was good and our waiter did a good job recommending items. The views and vibe from the roof are nice. The restaurant has 2 seating options one side is by the pool and the other side is by the bar. I def recommend the bar side as it's more happening and in my opinion has a better vibe. Highly Recommend Mezze Sampler 5/5 Phyllo Baked Feta 4/5 Greek Fries 5/5 Pan Seared Salmon 5/5 Calabra Burger 4/5 Gin Blossom Drink Food was good we enjoyed everything we ordered. Will be back for lunch sometime to check out the view during the day time.

Beautiful aesthetically. Fun cocktails. Fast service. We came to Calabra for some cocktails, it was a wonderful experience and we will be back for more! Finding it was a little bit of a quest. Go into the Proper Hotel and tell them you have a reservation. They will guide you to the elevator!

Came on a Sunday at 5pm and there was not much waiting. We were able to get a table since there was no more bar seating. We just came here for drinks but I would say the drinks we got were okay. We got the Tamarindo Margarita, watermelon sparkler, and I forget which mezcal cocktail we got. I would come again for the ambiance. It feels like an oasis up on the rooftop and the hotel itself is just beautiful.
